Additional information

Mosaic Cell Sciences' Healthy and Diseased Human Stellate Cells offer scientists the ability to capture and assess the pathogenesis and/or the role of fibrogenesis in NASH/NAFLD. The resident cell within the Space of Disse, Stellate Cells store 80% of the body's vitamin A reserves within their cytoplasm. During NASH/NAFLD, activation of Stellate Cells from a quiescent state, due to inflammatory signaling, induces extracellular matrix deposition and fibrosis. Primary Human Stellate Cells can be utilized to discover the complex interplay between liver parenchymal and non-parenchymal cells in both healthy and disease conditions. Learn more about our nonparenchymal cell offerings by downloading the brochure below.
